2016 marks the 30th anniversary of the explosion deep inside the nuclear power station at Chernobyl.  Access to the area is now severely restricted and as a result the town of Pripyat is locked in a timewarp, with nature gradually reclaiming the man made infrastructure.  It is a place that is both haunted and haunting, a ghost town that reminds everyone of how fragile human existence is.  These images were taken in the spring of 2012 during an official government authorised visit..
